Applications : Automotive : Sealing Systems

Vi-Chem Corporation has a variety of products available to meet the unique demands of automotive sealing systems.

Engineered plastic compounds are available for applications including door seals, window seals, and hood and decklid seals, as well as 'gap filling' type seals around steering columns and door latches.

Compression set resistance materials are available from vinyl type capability, through Nitrovin™ TPV and Thermovin™ TPV for enhanced long term resistance versus EPDM rubber, up to Sevrene® TPE, which has broad spectrum performance advantages over EPDM rubber. In addition, Nitrovin™ TPV grades are available for squeak and itch reduction.

Applications : Automotive : Underhood

Vi-Chem Corporation has lines of TPOs for applications that include automotive underhood fuel line covers and sleeves, cable covers and jacketing, and brake line covers.

One line of plastic compounds, which includes The Ethavin™ C75 and Ethavin™ C85 Series of TPOs, provides the necessary flame retardancy and strong abrasion and cut through resistance for fuel cover applications.

Our fire retardant Ethavin™ 9080FR adds additional heat resistance and compression set resistance to the typical Ethavin TPE properties. Higher performance hose and tubing applications can take advantage of these enhanced properties.
