PVC / Vinyl Products

Vi-Chem Corporation has a variety of black, natural, pre-colored (including the tough exterior automotive metallics) and paintable Vinyl compounds. Each engineered PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) compound is customized for injection molding, extrusion or blow molding applications.

These compounds are available from 55 Shore A, through rigid durometers, and most Vinyl compounds can be color matched to exacting standards.

Extrusion, injection molding and blow molding grades, in low (<2) to high (>90) gloss levels can be produced to meet the needs of pre-colored and black parts.

Specific grades are available to satisfy demanding automotive specifications, some of which are matched to one of over 1000 automotive interior or exterior colors. Vi-Chem will also meet your demanding gloss and fogging requirements.

TPE (thermoplastic elastomer)

We design our line of thermoplastic elastomers to meet both your current and future market needs. These compounds provide rubber-like properties with thermoplastic processing economics:

TPE / TPO / Ecotuf™:

The Ecotuf line of TPOs utilize post-industrial and/or post-consumer feedstocks to be friendlier to the environment. These products are designed for general TPE applications.

TPE / TPO / Ethavin™:

The Ethavin lines of TPOs (Thermoplastic Polyolefins) resist burning, while combining cut-through resistance, abrasion resistance, oil & gasoline resistance, and cold temperature flexibility.

Typical applications include automotive underhood fuel line covers and sleeves, cable covers and jacketing, brake line covers and industrial hose covers.

The Ethavin C75 and Ethavin C85 Series of TPOs, provides the necessary flame retardancy and strong abrasion and cut through resistance for fuel cover applications.

Our fire retardant Ethavin 9080FR adds additional heat resistance and compression set resistance to the typical Ethavin TPE properties. Higher performance hose and tubing applications can take advantage of these enhanced properties.

TPE / TPV / Nitrovin™:

The Nitrovin line of TPVs (Thermoplastic Vulcanizates) provide excellent processibility, compression set resistance, high heat resistance, excellent low temperature properties, oil & gasoline resistance, colorability, and anti-squeak characteristics.

Applications, such as automotive sealing systems or underhood tubing can utilize the unique properties of these extrusion alloys of PVC and nitrile rubber.

TPE / TPO / Oleflex™:

Oleflex compounds are Olefinic based TPOs for automotive and general use. These products are ideally suited for soft touch and other 2-shot applications

TPE / TPO / Spectra®:

The Spectra line of TPOs combine colorability with excellent weathering for exterior high gloss applications. They can be pre-colored to match even metallic paint.

TPE / SEBS / Sevrene®:

The Sevrene line of SEBS (Styrene-Ethylene-Butadiene-Styrene) based TPEs combine broad temperature capabilities with excellent weathering properties.

These are key requirements for automotive interior applications, sealing systems, and soft touch industrial and consumer components.

These TPE products can be color matched to straight shade colors, and are easily co-extrudable with olefins, resulting in very cost effective parts. In addition, they can be modified to bond to a variety of thermoplastic materials.

TPE / SBS / Sevrite™:

The Sevrite line of SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) based TPEs provide the same broad temperature capabilities as the Sevrene TPE line, but in a more cost effective product where strong exterior weathering properties are not required.

Applications perfect for these SBS products include side airbag covers and soft touch industrial and consumer components.

TPE / TPU / Uravin™:

The Uravin line of TPUs (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) provide scuff resistance, excellent cold temperature properties, and color match capability.

Automotive, heavy truck and industrial steering wheels are ideal applications for these extrusion alloys of PVC and polyurethane.

Trivin™ / Polymer Alloys:

The Trivin line of high heat, rigid and semi-rigid polymer alloys provide:

Ease of extrusion
Ability to be injection molded in thin sections
High gloss or low gloss capability
Low shrinkage
Excellent outdoor aging and colorability

These properties make this Polymer Alloy ideal for high heat building extrusions, and other building applications.
